La Consejería de Educación ha autorizado a cuatro centros de la provincia de Cuenca a abandonar sus proyectos de bilingüismo a partir del próximo curso escolar, 2022-23. Los colegios San Fernando (Cuenca capital), Melchor Cano, Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes y Gloria Fuertes (los tres de Tarancón) dejarán progresivamente el modelo de inglés-español en las etapas de Infantil y Primaria, según consta en una resolución de la Dirección General de Inclusión Educativa y Programas fechada este viernes 28 de enero

La normativa establece que, una vez autorizado el abandono, el centro deberá garantizar a los alumnos de Educación Primaria y Secundaria Obligatoria la finalización de la etapa que estén cursando dentro del proyecto bilingüe o plurilingüe, por lo que el cambio no será brusco sino que los programas se irán diluyendo escalonadamente.

Las cuatro bajas autorizadas coinciden con el número de solicitudes presentadas en la provincia de Cuenca. En el conjunto de Castilla-La Mancha 52 centros han presentado peticiones: siete han sido denegadas y 45 han recibido luz verde. Por el contrario solamente ha habido tres instancias de incorporación. Una ha sido denegada, la del centro Santa Ana de Guadalajara para la ESO, mientras que se ha dado visto bueno a dos del IES Andrés de Vandelvira de Albacete para sendos ciclos formativos de grado superior.
