La diputada nacional del PSOE, Gracia Canales, ha señalado hoy que “es incomprensible el rechazo a un acuerdo que invertía en cuidados, movilidad y agenda urbana y cultural”.

Así lo ha manifestado tras el no del Congreso a convalidar el decreto ley que recoge el acuerdo con la Federación Española de Municipios y Provincias para la cesión al estado de los remanentes municipales.

Gracia Canales ha remarcado el retroceso que supone lo sucedido en el día de hoy con lo que el Estado quería permitir a las entidades locales ahorrar 70 millones en intereses anuales que es lo que les cuesta mantener sus remanentes en los bancos.

En este sentido, la parlamentaria socialista ha subrayado que “se trataba de un acuerdo histórico que mejoraba la vida de los ciudadanos y que la oposición ha decidido tumbar dentro de su afán por hacer caer al Gobierno de Sánchez”.

Canales ha reiterado que este acuerdo, al que no se obliga a sumarse a ningún ayuntamiento, “permitía disponer de recursos con los que contribuir a la reconstrucción y recuperación de nuestros pueblos y ciudades”

Y es que, tal y como ha indicado la diputada nacional del PSOE por Cuenca, “justo cuando más se necesita de la unión de todos es cuando la oposición más palos en las ruedas pone sin presentar otras fórmulas para poder hacer uso de los remanentes”

Hay que recordar que su no convalidación supone que los Gobiernos Locales, más allá del uso de los remanentes, perderán también las posibilidades de utilización de sus superávits de 2018 y 2019, del fondo de transporte de hasta 400 millones de euros, de participación en Fondos Europeos, así como de diversos avances en materia de regla de gasto y actuaciones para los Ayuntamientos con dificultades financieras, entre otras cuestiones.

Además, este acuerdo ha estado abierto a la negociación parlamentaria y podría modificarse en el Congreso. Por ello, el Grupo Parlamentario Socialista ha apoyado la propuesta formulada por la Ministra de Hacienda, María Jesús Montero, de tramitar parte del texto como Proyecto de Ley y negociar posteriormente los criterios de reparto de los 5.000 millones a fondo perdido.
