El  Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha va a enviar la propuesta para consensuar con el sector agrario cómo se llevan a cabo las tareas de recolección de este verano, pero “que allí donde se hagan, las haremos compatibles esas tareas con la prevención de incendios” ante un verano que se presume complicado por la situación de sequía que se está viviendo.

Lo ha avanzado el vicepresidente autonómico, José Luis Martínez Guijarro, durante la clausura de la asamblea anual de la Asociación de Jóvenes Agricultores (ASAJA) Cuenca,  en la que ha recordado que hoy mismo entra en vigor  la resolución de la Dirección General de Medio Natural y Biodiversidad en la que se proponen una serie de medidas temporales al uso no esencial del fuego cuando el Índice Potencial de Propagación de Incendios Forestales (IPP) sea alto, muy alto o extremo vigentes hasta el día 31 de mayo de 2023, si bien podría suspenderse antes si las condiciones meteorológicas lo permitieran.

Con el contexto de sequía de fondo -hace más de cien días que no llueve en algunos puntos de Castilla-La Mancha- Martínez Guijarro ha recordado que el Ejecutivo regional va a convocar una mesa de sequía la próxima semana en la que estarán las organizaciones agrarias que representan al sector.

Un encuentro en el que, tal y como ha dicho, “vamos a explicar lo que estamos haciendo en estos momentos para que la Unión Europea utilice los fondos europeos de Desarrollo Rural para implementar ayudas directas a agricultores y ganaderos que se están viendo perjudicados por los efectos de la sequía».

Asimismo, el Ejecutivo autonómico va a flexibilizar las condiciones ambientales que se exigen a las explotaciones agrícolas y ganaderas “para hacer más fácil el cumplimento de condicionantes que implica la Política Agraria Común (PAC) y está en nuestras manos flexibilizarlo”.

Como cada año, la asamblea de ASAJA Cuenca sirve para entregar sus tradicionales galardones que en esta ocasión han recaído en Antonio Escudero, agricultor de la provincia; la ganadera Mercedes Solera; la Asociación de la Prensa; el director general de Innovación Digital del Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha, Juan Ángel Morejudo; y dos trabajadoras de ASAJA.

A la asamblea y posterior entrega de premios han asistido también el consejero de Desarrollo Sostenible, José Luis Escudero; el viceconsejero de Medio Rural, Agapito Portillo; el presidente de la Diputación de Cuenca, Álvaro Martínez Chana; y la delegada de la Junta en Cuenca, María Ángeles Martínez.
